Thank you all for joining us tonight! After just a few hours, we're already halfway to our target, so things are looking good!

In case you missed it on the campaign page, as our way of thanking you for supporting this game, we are giving each and every one of you an EXCLUSIVE expansion, and expanding your roster of 8 instruments with 3 new Guest Stars, based on backer suggestions!

And whether you want to rock out with a jazz bassoon, or chart your path to stardom on a Hammond Organ, suggestions for these new and exclusive instruments can only come from one place – YOU! The backers! So get down in those comments and let us know what you want to see us make for you!

You may have noticed that this game does not contain zombies, and that we are not planning to announce any free miniatures of Marvel characters – so naturally, we are not having money thrown at us from every angle! That's because we're an independent publisher making weird games that we love, for other people who love them!

Instrument Highlight #1 - The Sax

Each update, I'll be picking one of our instruments to highlight and show off! First off...

Tell me… is there anything jazzier than a saxophone?

Well seeing as it’s the instrument EVERYONE wants to play, we wanted to make sure that The Sax instrument board in The Gig was something to roll-and-write home about!

Truth be told, it’s probably one of the hardest instruments in the game to master! Want to know why?

First up is the obvious thing – those little ‘star’ symbols known as “flourishes” going down from the mouthpiece to the bell! The Sax scores an increasing score depending on how many of those they’ve gained by the end of the game. More flourishes = more points! But the eagle-eyed among you will notice that the amounts for corresponding points for each amount of flourishes goes higher than the number of flourishes on the instrument itself!

That’s because you’ll need to use Multiplier spaces to your advantage to get the most points out of flourishes! But when you do, you’re sitting pretty with 28 points from your instrument’s ability alone!

The second kink in the sax is a little less obvious – the very tight shape from the start space at the mouthpiece down to the end means the amount of possible shapes you can add to your solo are fewer than a lot of other instruments. You’ll need a sharp eye and a quick hand to make the most out of it and grab some good spaces on the song itself!
